Build and Design

The Sigma Stone is rather different when compared to other device, It's sleek, elegant, sexy glossy plastic with metal trimmings make's it stand out and feel comfortable using this device.

The micro USB port and 3.5mm jack are found at the top end, while the power button is on the right side. The volume controls are found on the left side. The microphone is placed at the bottom. While the capacitive buttons are on the bottom of the 5 inch screen.

The rear camera was placed at the back, one thing I notice the rear camera is extended by at least 2mm, but thanks to the barrel surrounded it, it avoids scratching the camera lens glass. Below it is the LED flash with a metal plate that has a KingCom logo on it.

At the back, the 2 SIM card slots with one slot that can double as a MicroSD card slot were placed. One thing special about the back of the Sigma Stone is it's cover, it has a same texture found on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and it is also bendable, which is good, if you are a kind of user who is always changing SIMs.

Display

The 5 inch HD 720x1280 Display is one of the best things that Sigma Stone had, Colors are very decent. Sigma Stone is the one of the best local brand with HD Screen I hold so far, some devices I used before had a blueish screen and some are yellowish screen.

Peformance, Benchmark, Game Test

The Sigma Stone is Powered by a MT6582 quad-core processor in tandem with 1GB RAM, the Sigma Stone delivers a great Android Kitkat experience. It scored 18,451 on the Antutu Benchmark Test. The over-all performance is fluid and had minimal lags/delays.

It has 8gb of rom with a usable storage of 6GB for storing Music, Videos, and Pictures. Good thing is, it can expand via SDCARD.

Basic functions, animations, apps, and services all running smoothly. When it comes on gaming, we tried Asphalt Overload, Minion Rush, Temple Run 2, Riptide GP and NBA 2k14. All of them were played very well, However, some are quite long to load. Check out our Game test below.

Camera

The Sigma Stone's rear camera impressed me for taking pictures and shooting videos. However, It struggles though when there’s harsh lighting and when there’s little light., The 12 megapixel camera at the back was surprisingly great in taking photos, especially in Good light condition.

Battery, Connectivity

Sigma Stone has dual sim capability but only SIM 1 can connect to 3G networks. Apollo can reach HSPA+ speeds offering fast mobile internet access. It runs Bluetooth 4.0, allowing it to enjoy Bluetooth connectivity without draining battery too much.

In terms of battery life, Sigma Stone has decent battery life! We were actually thinking that the HD display and the quad-core processor would be too much for the battery, but it looks like the 1,810mAh is more than enough already to get you through a whole day. Just make sure you manage your brightness levels to around 30%. Increasing it to more than 50%, drastically lowers lasting power.

Conclusion

The Sigma Stone is one of the best smartphones i can recommend under 7,000PHP. It has a strong and reliable performance. Good and Slim Design, Average Camera Quality, It just put more value to your money – especially if you’re looking for a phone that can double as a good point-and-shoot camera alternative.

The KingCom Sigma Stone is know available for 6,888php.
